Providing warm and welcoming accommodation, the property boasts a cosy sitting room with quaint multi-fuel stove, a fabulous kitchen with dining table and a lovely first floor bedroom with views over the stunning countryside. The accommodation in this charming home from home is first class. Guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the well-maintained established garden or take a stroll to the pretty estuary or nearby Ship Inn. With so much to see and do within easy reach, visitors will be spoiled for choice.

Gas central heating with multi-fuel stove in sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, WiFi. Fuel power & starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair on request. Roadside parking. Lockable bike storage. Spacious mature garden with furniture & BBQ. One small well-behaved dog welcome at £20 (please bring own dog bedding). Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs & fish & chip shop 5 mins walk. Note: Approx. 15 steps to main door of property (alternatively a small flight of approx. 4 descending steps & a slope to back entrance) & the internal stairs are steep. As such, property may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm. |

Beautiful quaint cottage in stunning surroundings with a fantastic garden. Close proximity to Lakes Windermere and Coniston. Also close to some great activities; the steam train at Haverthwaite, the zoo at Dalton and the aquarium at Lakeside. We'd definitely go back anytime. All in all, we had a fantastic week.

The Lake District National Park features stunning scenery of high fells and majestic lakes. This is ideal walking country, particularly over the many hills. The Lake District has the highest hills in England, including Scafell Pike, the country’s highest point. And of course there are the lakes themselves: glorious Windermere, pretty Derwent Water and beautiful Ullswater are just some of the highlights of our Cumbria and the Lakes cottage holidays.
For the historically minded, Cumbria offers a wealth of Celtic monuments, Roman remains, stately homes and ruined abbeys. Carlisle still has some of its ancient walls standing, as well as a Norman castle, and the western part of Hadrian’s Wall is nearby. Other places of interest include Penrith, with its castle and remarkably unchanged market square; Keswick, which was once the centre of pencil manufacturing; the busy market town of Kendal and Cockermouth, Wordsworth’s birthplace
